We welcome comments through Arlington County’s websites, blogs, and social media sites (including Facebook and Twitter). These are moderated online discussion sites, not public forums.
We are committed to open and transparent government. To ensure material is appropriate, however, we do monitor all postings and comments. What we ask for with your comments or postings:
•Stay focused. If you’re clearly off-topic, the item could be removed.
•Keep it clean and respectful: Vulgar language or profanity; personal attacks; aggressive behavior; or offensive comments that target or disparage any ethnic, racial, or religious group are prohibited.
•Tell the truth. Spreading misleading or false information is prohibited.
•Do not include spam or links to other sites or promote particular services, products, or political organizations.
•Do not infringe on copyrights or trademarks or advocate illegal activity.
We reserve the right not to post (or to remove) a submission or comment; this determination is within the sole discretion of the County. We do not edit comments. Comments and postings that appear on County-sponsored blogs or social media sites (or links within those comments or postings) do not necessarily reflect endorsement by the County of specific viewpoints, policies, practices, or products.
We recognize the web is a 24/7 medium, and your comments are welcome at any time. However, given the need to manage our staff resources (your tax dollars), we generally only monitor comments and postings during regular business hours.
If specific questions are submitted through our social media or blog sites, the County cannot guarantee a response (but we’ll try!). For questions or inquiries, we recommend you visit www.arlingtonva.us, and use our “Contact Us” form.
